Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has launched a criminal case on charges of state treason against a computer science student from Tomsk. This was reported by Russian outlets Siberia. Realities and Astra.

The young programmer is alleged to have collaborated with Ukrainian hackers. The arrest of the programmer became known in October 2023. According to the investigation, he is accused of "hacker attacks of a subversive nature" on Russian information infrastructure at the behest of Ukrainian special services. However, the FSB has not disclosed specific details about the case.

According to Astra, the accused student is Seymour Israfilov, studying at Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR). According to the investigation, Israfilov is accused of participating in hacker attacks on the administration resources of Tomsk and the Research and Development Institute of Tomsk Polytechnic University on behalf of the Cyber Anarchy Squad hacker group.

According to Siberia. Realities, the programmer is 18 years old and began his studies at TUSUR in the summer of 2023.
