AI Music Boom: How Ukrainians Generate Songs and What's the Profit

In 2025, Ukrainian artists released 21,520 tracks on Spotify. Of these, more than 5,300 were generated by AI, says Oleksiy Efimenko, creator of the NUAM (New UA Music) service, which researches Ukrainian music. For comparison, in 2024, his service found only 2,390 tracks authored by artificial intelligence.
The reason for this boom is the ease of creating songs. It can take only a few minutes, says LIGA.Tech, the author of such music. A subscription to the generation service costs $10, and a track can bring in many times more. However, it all depends on the number of listens.

How NUAM noticed the generated tracks
NUAM is an aggregator of Ukrainian tracks that automatically tracks new releases on a daily basis. The database contains 14,000 artists. To determine the exact genre of the song and whether it was generated by AI, Oleksiy Efimenko listens to the tracks himself.
