Donald Trump returned the Defense Department to its old name, the Department of War, and proposed using "dangerous" cities as training grounds for the army.

However, the most extravagant recent initiatives of the White House head concerned the navy: he called modern stealth ships ugly from an aesthetic point of view. Instead, he is considering a return to battleships. They are supposed to have strong defense, and cannon shells are much cheaper than missiles.

The problem is that the concept of battleships has been considered outdated for almost a century.
