Back to the future: why automakers are bringing buttons back to car interiors

Car manufacturers are gradually returning to buttons instead of touch screens in their cars' interiors, writes Wired. EuroNCAP, a program that evaluates car safety, recommends this.
Hyundai representatives have already announced an increase in the number of buttons because drivers like it better. LIGA.Tech paraphrases Wired's text on why touchscreens don't suit EuroNCAP, what are their advantages for manufacturers, and which companies are already increasing the number of buttons.
What is the reason
EuroNCAP wants five car functions to be operated by buttons: wipers, headlights, indicators, horn and alarm.
The main argument is that sensor systems impair reaction time. As evidence, Wired mentions a study that scientists commissioned by IAM RoadSmart. This is a charity that wants to make driving safer.
