The Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform has suffered a large-scale failure that has affected the operation of numerous online services in different countries. This was reported by The Verge.

AWS is one of the largest cloud infrastructure providers, and its stability has a direct impact on thousands of services and businesses. Fortnite, Snapchat, Alexa, Canva, Airtable, and the McDonald's app are experiencing problems.

Alexa users note that the smart assistant does not respond to commands, and set alarms and scenarios do not work. Fortnite players cannot log in to their accounts, and services running on AWS infrastructure are partially unavailable.

Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas confirmed that their service is also unavailable due to an issue with AWS. The company said it is actively working to restore service and find out the cause of the outage.

As a reminder, on October 16, the monobank app stopped working due to a technical failure. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is considering reducing purchases of printed circuit boards from the Chinese company SYE.
