Perplexity Company released a mobile version of the Comet browser for Android. This AI-powered browser was first released on PCs in July, and now most of its features are available on smartphones.

Comet for Android allows you to use Perplexity as your main search engine, talk to AI via voice mode, and ask questions based on open tabs. The assistant can also summarize search results from different tabs and even help with online shopping or research. The browser has a built-in ad blocker.

In the coming weeks, Perplexity plans to expand the browser's functionality by adding a voice agent for searching and interacting with websites, creating quick commands for the assistant, and integrating a full-fledged password manager.

Currently, the browser is available only on Android. Perplexity promises that an iOS version will be available later. The company explains that Android has become a priority due to interest from device manufacturers. Previously, Perplexity has already cooperated with Motorola to pre-install its application.

We remind you that OpenAI presents ChatGPT Atlas browser with a built-in AI assistant. Recently Perplexity opens free access to Comet AI browser for all users.
