Salaries of IT analysts in Ukraine have increased - from $1500 for beginners to $6000 for seniors

In the summer of 2025, the salaries of data professionals - analysts, data engineers, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence specialists - continue to grow. Over the past six months, data engineers have seen the largest increase, earning about $3,840. The study was conducted by Dou.ua, in which journalists interviewed more than 800 Ukrainian specialists.
Salaries of seniors have increased significantly, while juniors have seen little change. The survey showed that product companies are willing to pay more to both beginners and experienced data science specialists, while service companies value experienced analysts more.
The vast majority of data science and analytics specialists are young people aged 25 to 27. There are 54% of men and 46% of women among them.
In Kyiv, salaries of specialists in Data Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence are higher than in Lviv. The average salary of seniors is $5500 vs. $5000, middles - $3000 vs. $2800, and juniors - $1000 vs. $900. At the same time, there is virtually no difference between the cities among analysts - about $2200 in Kyiv and $2100 in Lviv.
Among Product Analysts, the share of newcomers has increased from 7% to 19% in six months, which indicates an increase in demand for young professionals.

Data science specialists usually have upper-intermediate or advanced English - their median salary is about $3200. Those with lesser English skills have much lower salaries. Experienced analysts with more than 10 years of work in large companies receive about $6000.
Abroad, salaries of data scientists are on average $600-800 higher than in Ukraine, especially among specialists with three to nine years of experience.
- In the summer of 2025, the average salary of IT managers decreased slightly from - from $3150 to about $3000 over the past six months. Most of all, this affected the most experienced specialists and specialists in Product Management.
- Testers in Ukraine earn $2200 - where they are paid the most. QAs abroad get 20% more.
- Ukrainian programmers abroad earn up to $8800. English helps developers earn more.
