A federal court in Texas has rejected Apple and OpenAI's request to dismiss a case filed by Elon Musk's X Corp. and xAI. Musk accuses Apple and OpenAI of collusion that allegedly hinders competition in the artificial intelligence market. This is reported by Bloomberg.

The lawsuit demands billions of dollars in compensation from Apple and OpenAI. It claims that Apple's decision to integrate OpenAI into the iPhone operating system hinders competition and stifles innovation in the field of artificial intelligence. The judge did not provide any explanations in the written decision, but ordered the parties to submit additional materials to argue their positions.

OpenAI said that Musk is waging a "legal war" against the company due to his long-standing conflict with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, with whom he co-founded the company ten years ago. Apple claims that it does not have an exclusive agreement with OpenAI and plans to cooperate with other artificial intelligence developers in the future.
